Welcome to Newland St John’s CE Academy

I am delighted to welcome you to our academy. It is a very special and safe place where we live together, learn together and shine together, in the love of God.

Our vision is that all members of our diverse school community live together with dignity and respect; learn deeply together; and become shining beacons of kindness and excellence, knowing that they are loved by God.

We provide a rich, broad and balanced curriculum that has a strong focus on developing and applying knowledge and skills, through a range of contexts  Our dedicated staff and governor team provide a learning environment where children are cared for; have their talents nurtured; and develop academically, personally and spiritually.

We have a close relationship with our parish church, St John Newland, and are part of Hope Sentamu Learning Trust, a family of academies working together to improve outcomes for children, under the oversight of the Diocese of York Educational Trust.
