Newland St John's Church of England Academy

Our School Council

School council members are elected by their peers to represent the children’s voices at our school council meetings.

We meet every half term to listen, discuss, share views and where necessary vote on actions that need to be taken in collaboration with class peers relating to current concerns / topics of interest in the best interest of improving our school and the learning that happens in it.

Our current focus is `improving our learning environment’ – This has been taken back to peers in the class and at the next meeting we will discuss some actions that we can hopefully put into place.
